
New Delhi: In a significant development, IAS officers Dr. Raghav Langer and Jyoti Yadav from the Uttarakhand cadre have been appointed to the prestigious position of Joint Secretary in the Government of India. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), chaired by the Honorable Prime Minister, issued an official order regarding their selection.
This achievement is remarkable, as out of 120 officers from the 2009 IAS batch, only 16 have been empaneled as Joint Secretaries, including two from Uttarakhand. This recognition underscores the competence and dedication of officers from the state.
Dr. Raghav Langer: A Distinguished Career
IAS Dr. Raghav Langer has held several key positions in his career. He has served as:
✅ District Magistrate of Rudraprayag
✅ Chief Executive Officer of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana
✅ Additional Secretary of Higher Education, Uttarakhand
✅ Program Director of the Namami Gange Project
Dr. Langer has also worked extensively outside Uttarakhand, holding critical roles such as Divisional Commissioner of Jammu (Jammu & Kashmir) and District Magistrate of Pulwama and Kathua. His administrative acumen and leadership skills have been widely recognized. Currently, he is serving as a Director in the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India.
Jyoti Yadav’s Impressive Administrative Journey
IAS Jyoti Yadav has also had an outstanding career. She previously served as the District Magistrate of Tehri and has been on central deputation since 2018. She has worked as a Director in the Ministry of Commerce, playing a crucial role in shaping trade and economic policies.
